A small village situated at the junction of Glen Faloch, Glen Dochart and Strath Fillan on the A85/A82 junction. Most famous as a stop on the famous West Highland Line and where the lies split - to either Fort Willam/Mallaig or to Oban. In fact there used to be another line here, coming in from Callander but a landslide in the 60s put paid to that. From here both the roads and the rail lines take you to either Oban or Fort Wiliam though not side by side to Fort Willioam as the rail line goes through the east side of Rannoch Moor where no roads exist. ... < mehr >
